January 4: trip to best zoo in the world. God I love koalas. They may be vicious. They may be rat family or something like that. But they sure LOOK cute and cuddly. To each other at least. Kangaroos really do look like big rats though.
Story (fact?): What does the word Kangaroo mean? Legend says a British explorer saw one and asked the Aboriginee “What is that animal?” to which the answer was “Kangaroo”. Ah! He says, a kangaroo. Allegedly, “kangaroo” in Aboriginee means “I don’t know”.

Out on the city, I return to Slide. A scene of the crime 3 years ago. I get redirected to The Ivy. A place “for people like me” (referring to the New York City thang.) I understand upon getting there that it’s snobby (for Australia, which you never otherwise find), and “posh”. And cover charged. I don’t do cover charges.
