January 11

January 11, Sunday I suppose. What to do? Lucky me, an invite to Bondi Beach AND a pick up in a CAR. Haven’t been in one of those for a while. Coooool. Of course Bondi is rocking. And packed. What a HUGE beach. We meet up with more Americans. They play (American) football at the beach. I look for volleyball nets. None. This is weird. When do I meet the Aussies?

We finish the day by going to their favorite Mexican restaurant, Cafe Pacifco in Surrey Hills. It’s closed. We have Italian across the street.

Lesson: A lot of BYOB here. No $25 corkage. $2. And PS. Most are screwcaps.

Note: Bathrooms are nearly solely blow dry your hands. Frustrating sometimes, but very environmentally conscious.

We head to Wolloomooloo (that's an area of town) to meet another B-Boy ... ugh forget the name of the bar, but it had a huge tower of Beck's. A place meant for me. I'm certain Dr. Suess has been here; wouldn't you expect to find a Kangaroo in Zoo in Wolloomooloo???

QUOTABLE: B-Boy-B says "London and LA had a child and named it Sydney"

Later, I meet a Fijian. Is that how you call them? Clearly I am in a different region of the world. Awesome too, cuz I can’t wait to go to Fiji. Not only because I had to cross Tahiti off. He invites me to his sister’s wedding on Saturday. Hmmm… who knows. Certainly would be interesting.
